COMPREHENSIVE RESEARCHES FOR IMPROVING PERFORMANCE OF CEMENT WORKS EQUIPMENT AND QUALITY OF CEMENT
The purpose of comprehensive researches of cement companies operation is to improve the production efficiency by means of:
- intensification of raw materials grinding at the stage of raw mixture preparation with optimization of fineness and reduction of specific energy consumption; improvement of raw mills operation;
- definition of the balanced composition of raw mixture that allows to reduce the fuel consumption for clinker burning, increase the resistance of refractory lining of rotary kilns, and produce a high-quality clinker;
- optimization of Portland cement clinker burning by the use of modifying additives and installation of high-efficiency heat-exchangers that reduce the specific fuel consumption for clinker burning, increase the efficiency of rotary kilns with a reduction of heat losses and overall (or specific) heat consumption for clinker burning;
- intensification of cement grinding (clinker with the addition of gypsum when producing plain cements or clinker with the addition of gypsum and mineral additives when producing blended cements) with the definition of the optimum grain composition providing the increased activity of cement at the minimum specific energy consumption per a ton of cement; optimization of closed-circuit cement mills equipped with separators, and open-circuit cement mills without separators.
